How often should you regas your vehicle's aircon
At C & C Motors Minehead, we use state of the art air conditioning systems to recharge your vehicle. We believe that you should regas and service your air conditioning system every 18 months with new gas and lubricant to keep it running efficiently all year round. Generally, the aircon system will lose 10-15% of its refrigerant gas every year, which will result in a reduced cooling effect and possible shutdown of the system when the gas pressure falls below a certain level.
An aircon system that is not fully recharged will be less effective and have to work harder putting more strain on the engine using more fuel.
What's included with an aircon regas
Our experienced technicians will remove the old refrigerant gas from your system before replenishing it under vacuum with fresh refrigerant, leak sealing and detection agent and compressor lubricating oil. This method ensures no air is injected into the system which can cause problems later on
