Diagnostics with C & C Motors Minehead

What is an ECU?

Most modern vehicles today contain an onboard computer known as an Engine Control Unit (ECU) which continually monitors the performance of the vehicle. Sensors all around the vehicle report back to the ECU if there are problems such as low fluid levels or increased engine temperature. When an issue is identified the ECU generates an error code. The relevant dashboard warning lights will then be displayed.

How does diagnostic testing work?

At C & C Motors Minehead, we have invested in the latest equipment and training for our technicians to provide expert diagnostics testing. Most modern vehicles are equipped with an ECU. We can plug directly into your vehicle ECU and take a reading of the data stored there. With this data, we can determine where any potential faults may be occurring across your vehicle.
